Why is the cooling lubricant analysis important?
You are using cooling lubricants. So you are subject to strict legal requirements and obligations. When working with cooling lubricants, temporary or permanent damage to health may occur.
Machines and plants, in which cooling lubricants are used for the machining and forming of metals, must comply with the basic safety and health requirements of § 3 of the Machinery Ordinance to the Equipment and Product Safety Act.
In consideration of occupational health and safety, the technical regulations for hazardous substances, such as the Technical Rules for Hazardous Substances (German TRGS 611) and the rules of the Employer’s Liability Insurance Association (German BGR / GUV-R 143), require the regular monitoring of cooling lubricants.
Which tasks does FS Plus take over for you?
FS Plus takes over the proper and professional inspection of your cooling lubricants for you in compliance with the legal regulations TRGS 611 and DGUV regulation 109-003. We compile an individual test plan, test the basic parameters (1. pH value, 2. usage concentration, 3. nitrite content of the water-miscible coolant), document the actual condition and ensure a legal target/actual comparison.
Furthermore, we test your cooling lubricant for any influencing variables, such as conductivity, hardness, dispersity, foaming behavior and germ count, by means of an extensive laboratory analysis, and thus help you to recognize necessary care measures and to optimally prevent them. The sample analysis with its final diagnosis of the determined individual values points out germ infestation and contamination and recommends a corresponding measure.
Your benefits at a glance:
- Optimized care and change intervals for your cooling lubricants
- Higher plant availability
- Longer service life of the coolant
- Compliance with all applicable EU directives with regard to occupational safety, health and environmental protection
- Early detection of damage
- Sustainable cost reduction
